The Hôtel de Bouilhac

This mansion previously belonged to the Bouilhac family, one of whose most famous members, Jean de Bouilhac, was a doctor to King Louis XV. The construction of the building in the 18th century joined together two older dwellings that were built between the 15th and 17th centuries. Two wings flank the main building and a courtyard. Extending from each wing is small, a single-story building with terrace. Together, the buildings create a pyramid shape. Inside, the grand staircase takes up the full depth of the hotel. Each set of private apartments opens onto a terrace or balcony. The rooms on the ground floor have vaulted stone ceilings and the kitchen retains its original beaten earth floor and original layout. On the adjacent street to the west can be found the old stables, which have now been converted into accommodation. The Hôtel de Bouilhac was granted Historic Monument status in 2008.
